Lights "Cam"era Action

In the middle of May, we decided to do a family photo shoot. We ended up going with the "urban" setting and walked around Lower Downtown of Denver.  Michael nor I are big on getting photographed, so once we got the pictures we back, we were amazed on how great the pictures turned out.

Even Ruby got in the picture.

My favorite little guy did a small photo shoot.....he just learned how to sit up on his own at this point and he did so well. The picture below shows his awesome hair - almost mullet-like.

My two favorite boys got a couple shots together.

Mom and son shot.....such a happy little guy.

This is Michael's favorite shot.

So glad that we were able to catch these shots of our little family.

Month 6.....Cam on a Hot Tin Roof

Cam is starting to outsize and outmuscle his friend, everyone's favorite rodent, Fernando. Luckily our new camera takes photos quickly, because he never stay still for very long. Gravity is a difficult concept to grasp.

He is learning to love food and is slowly learning that it is better for him when it goes in his mouth even it is more fun elsewhere. He has been eating a lot of fruit and his current favorite is peaches. He is also really into eating (read: gumming and covering in spit) apple slices.

We went on Cam's first family "camping" trip to Moab, Utah and spent some time with our friend's Tim and Aileen and their two kids. They've just moved back to the US from Australia.
Both families and dogs went on a 3 hour hike to a beautiful natural rock arch. Cam barely made a peep the entire time. He was either napping or awestruck at the beautiful surroundings. I'm gonna go with napstruck.

Getting more and more expressive every day. He laughs much more easily now, but is definitely more into physical comedy than anything more high-brow, but we all gotta start somewhere. That's fine as long as he doesn't laugh at Two and a Half Men or The Big Bang Theory. We raised him better than that.

Month 5...Big man on "Cam"pus

Another month passed and we had more fun times with Cameron....

We will start with his 5 month photos.....as you can see, once again, he was not being super cooperative for us to get a great shot.

The weather was getting warmer in Colorado so we started taking Cameron on his first hiking adventures.
Family hike with Nana, Papa, Gigi, Aunt Jenn and Harper.
Warm in my fuzzy suit and happy as can be in the Baby Bjorn.
Daddy stopping to pose for a picture.
 Me and Cam
Tim, one of Michael's friends from Australia, and his little girl Sophie in the background.
Such a sweet boy!

Had to include this shot. After hiking, we went to Happy Hour and won this New Belgium Cruiser Bike. Pretty happy with our haul.

It was also Easter Weekend, so we of course had an outfit. The Great Easter Bunny, also known as Cameron's Nana, got this basket together for him with toys and clothes!

 A very dapper bib.
He found his one and only egg he grabbed at the Easter Egg Hunt in Breckenridge, and it of course, goes straight into the mouth.
His outfit says "Some Bunny Loves Me"

All tired out after the hunt - such a cute little bunny on his bottom.

We ended up going to second Easter Egg Hunt after church in Frisco on Sunday - here is Dad and Cam ready to go!

Another month just flew by! Cam is growing up so fast. He is developing really well - he started sleeping through the night, eating and sitting up on his own. People are always telling us that the next age is the "best age" for a baby, every age so far has been incredible.

4 Months and on the move....

We hit 4 months and Cameron is getting more and more fun everyday. He smiles, giggles, and is becoming super active. At his check up he was 14 pounds (25th percentile), and 25 inches long (50th percentile), so he is just an average-sized baby, but really strong. He enjoys standing up and holding onto your fingers - I am afraid he might just skip crawling and go straight into walking.

We tried out best to take a shot of him for his 4 month picture, but it turned out harder than we thought it would.

Knocked the sign with his hand...

Sign starts falling...

Goodbye sign....

Back up for the picture....

And he is done.....

Momma grabbed him :)

So one big milestone we have hit is Cameron has started rolling over. It first started from stomach to back, but now he goes both ways. We can no longer leave him on the couch/bed...he is now on the move.

Action shot of rolling over

He also has a new toy to entertain himself - the Johnny Jump Up - he is still figuring out the "jumping" part, but he is a big fan of pivoting around because he always wants to be where the action is.

More pics of Cameron in the Tub - he absolutely LOVES the water. We can't wait for the summer to take him swimming.

Another holiday, which means another themed outfit! St. Patrick's Day we celebrated with a yummy breakfast and attending a parade in downtown Denver. Cam rocked a onesie with some green along with a newsboy cap - it was a huge hit!

Dressed and ready to go...

My two boys.....

Our little family....

Cam's aunt Lisa came to visit us from Kansas.....we were so happy to have her!

Month 4 has been great - watching Cam grow everyday and learn new things is amazing. We love it that he recognizes us when we pick him up after work, and greets us with a huge open mouth smile (and a little drool). Looking forward to what lies ahead.
