Here we go.....
So welcome to the Tully's blog. I am not really one for sharing every aspect of my life, but don't mind giving a little inside knowledge of what is going on in our household. I can't promise that this will be updated daily or even weekly, but figure I will give it a shot for my family's sake (mostly for you Mom).
So life has been a bit of a roller coaster in 2011, but we are definitely along for the ride!
Our biggest news this year is that we are going to become a family of THREE in November (well, four if you count our awesome dog Ruby), and that is the reason behind this blog. We all know it isn't to show pictures of Michael and I, but just our little one to "ooo" and "aahh" over whenever "it" decides to come.
It all started on March 4 - I was not feeling very well in the morning, and Michael was joking about it being "morning sickness". I just passed it off as nothing, but the next morning - it was back. I thought I was totally overreacting, but with the advice of my husband, I went and bought myself a pregnancy test. Thinking that there was "no possible way" that I could be pregnant, I got home from work and took the test. Well, the box says to wait 2 minutes, but about 30 seconds later a "YES" popped up. I walked out of the bathroom in disbelief and denial, walked back in to check it again, read the box to make sure that “Yes” meant “Pregnant”, and then thought how I had ruined the moment because I took the test without Michael being there. So as most hormonal women start acting, I sat on the couch and cried - it was a happy cry, but also a bit of a "what am I getting myself into" cry.
Michael got home about a half an hour later and I met him outside. I didn't know what to say or what to do, so I just handed him the stick. He took once glance and just gave me a HUGE hug, but I could totally tell, he was as shocked as I was - possibly even more! We headed up to Breckenridge (our home away from home), and Michael suggested I take another test because taking only one has a chance of error. Another stick, another "YES" - it looks like we are going to be parents.
So at this point, I am 17 weeks! Not showing (yet), feeling good, and finally getting my energy back!
I am not one to post pictures of my insides on Facebook, so here are some pics (just skip this section if it creeps you out!). We just couldn't believe how much “it” changed in just 4 short weeks!
8 WEEKS and 12 WEEKS

ReplyDeleteTullymundo looks great. Michael is so clever. Your grandfather called your dad, Eggbert before he was born. I look forward to watching the Tully baby grow. Technology is wonderful. Love, Grams and future Gigi
