Scaredy Dog?

The weather in Denver this summer is similar to Florida - very hot during the day, an hour or two of thunderstorms late afternoon/early evening and pretty nice at night - except for the humidity (thank heavens). Well, our puppy does not like thunder and lightning - the poor thing is deathly afraid and has no idea where to go or what to do when it is storming.

We have recently noticed that she disappears during the storms, and we figured that she just laid in her bed or in her crate, but we were wrong. Here is where we have found her...

Yes, that is the tub. My mom says it is something to do with the static electricity and her fur - I honestly think she is just confusing earthquake preparedness and storm preparedness.

So we closed the bathroom door to see what she would do next....

Here she is in our closet - sitting on our shoes - waiting for the storm to pass. (I know her eyes look totally creepy.)

I think she is ready for fall.....
