4 Months and on the move....

We hit 4 months and Cameron is getting more and more fun everyday. He smiles, giggles, and is becoming super active. At his check up he was 14 pounds (25th percentile), and 25 inches long (50th percentile), so he is just an average-sized baby, but really strong. He enjoys standing up and holding onto your fingers - I am afraid he might just skip crawling and go straight into walking.

We tried out best to take a shot of him for his 4 month picture, but it turned out harder than we thought it would.

Knocked the sign with his hand...

Sign starts falling...

Goodbye sign....

Back up for the picture....

And he is done.....

Momma grabbed him :)

So one big milestone we have hit is Cameron has started rolling over. It first started from stomach to back, but now he goes both ways. We can no longer leave him on the couch/bed...he is now on the move.

Action shot of rolling over

He also has a new toy to entertain himself - the Johnny Jump Up - he is still figuring out the "jumping" part, but he is a big fan of pivoting around because he always wants to be where the action is.

More pics of Cameron in the Tub - he absolutely LOVES the water. We can't wait for the summer to take him swimming.

Another holiday, which means another themed outfit! St. Patrick's Day we celebrated with a yummy breakfast and attending a parade in downtown Denver. Cam rocked a onesie with some green along with a newsboy cap - it was a huge hit!

Dressed and ready to go...

My two boys.....

Our little family....

Cam's aunt Lisa came to visit us from Kansas.....we were so happy to have her!

Month 4 has been great - watching Cam grow everyday and learn new things is amazing. We love it that he recognizes us when we pick him up after work, and greets us with a huge open mouth smile (and a little drool). Looking forward to what lies ahead.

Turning 30 equals Trip to New York City!

So back in March, I hit the ripe old age of 30. It is a huge milestone, but just surprises me how fast 30 years have gone. I am not a huge fan of cake, so my mom made me an apple pie.....it was delicious.

My husband decided to surprise me with a trip to New York City and to see Wicked, which I have been absolutely DYING to see! Michael organized the whole thing - contacted my boss for a day off, flight, show, and babysitter. He spoke with my mom, and she got to spend 3 days with our little man. This was the first time I ever left him, but knew he was in good hands.

We flew out on Saturday, taxied to the hotel, and got ready for the show. Here I am outside the Gershwin Theater before the show.

We got to our seats and I was so excited, and you can see Michael couldn't contain his excitement either.

The show was more amazing than I thought......if you haven't seen Wicked, I highly recommend it!

On Sunday, we decided to be tourists. My parents got me an awesome DSLR camera for my birthday, so where better to try it out then on our trip! We went to Times Square, Central Park, FAO Schwartz (picked up a few things for the little guy), did the 30 Rock Tour of NBC Studios, and of course ate our way through the city. Below are a few pictures of the highlights....

Central Park!

Awe

If only Conan were still here...

That is me under the middle American flag :)

We sat in Bryant Park and had a treat from Magnolia Bakery.

Sunday night we went to an amazing French Restaurant called Balthazar - my in-laws birthday present for me was to go to any restaurant we wanted, such a great idea! Anyways, we got to try foie gras, chicken liver, duck confit and pork belly - absolutely delicious.

On Monday, we did the other half of the city - 911 Memorial, Statue of Liberty, Chinatown, Little Italy and the Highline (an elevated railroad track has been converted into a walkway/garden with a great view of the city)

On the Highline

We thought the water towers were so cool looking

One of the new twin towers

We had a great time - quick trip with a ton of walking, but lots of fun and packed in as much as we could. Plus we got two FULL night's sleep!

3 months and beyond.....Cameron's Parents are Slackers

So yes, we are slackers and haven't put up a post in a couple of months. We are still alive, just staying busy!

So we will start off with Cam's 3 month pictures...

His new favorite form of travel.....the baby bjorn. We can put him in this and he doesn't make a peep. Definitely the best way to go grocery shopping.

Here are my two favorite boys in the Circle of Neglect.

The monkey chair can also be a fun form of entertainment. We just found out that you can lower it, so now that his feet are on the ground and he can jump, it makes it so much more fun!

So I guess there is a strange rule that when you are a baby, you are allowed themed outfits for every holiday. Here is Cameron on Valentine's Day in his "themed" outfit - it is definitely still manly, but oh so cute!

We recently started reading to the little man and he actually seems to pay attention. We can get through 2 to 3 books before he tries to eat them.

Well, that is quick review of 3 months.......the next post will be sooner than this one was :)
